Dan's history with the Dan Kane Singers began in 1977 when he
took over the group that was Jack Hague's Town House Singers at the
ripe old age of 16. Through the years, under Dan's direction,
The
Dan Kane Singers has continued to evolve, bringing audiences more
variety, more originality and more fun to become the area's most
popular singing group.
Admittedly, the Dan Kane Singers takes a great deal of time and talent, but
this does not detract from Dan's career as a Special Needs Teacher
at the Papermill Elementary School in Westfield. In addition to The
Dan Kane Singers, he is also the organist for St. Patrick's Church
in Springfield, where his father, Jim, is the soloist. Dan is
also a popular entertainer in his own right and can be seen and
heard locally in many different venues in this area.
Being musical director of such a large group of people is not
only wonderful for Dan but it is also hard work and for this he
thanks his lovely wife, Christine and their beautiful daughters,
Mary and Shannon for all their love and constant support.
